A 40-year-old man with several previous convictions has been detained by investigators from the Brescia Police Headquarters for drug dealing. The operation was initiated by two anonymous reports sent through YouPol, the State Police's digital channel dedicated to citizens' reports.

The reports indicated illicit sales activity in the Chiesanuova district. The Mobile Squad then deployed specific surveillance and control operations, which allowed them to intercept the suspect as he was returning to his home on a motorscooter.

At the time of detention, the 40-year-old displayed visibly tense and restless behaviour. Searches conducted on his person and in the rooms of his home, including the garage, resulted in the discovery of a quantity exceeding 500 grammes of drugs including cocaine and hashish, together with instruments for weighing and dividing the substance.

After being transferred to police offices, the individual was placed under arrest and held in the local prison "Nerio Fischione", pending decisions by the judicial authorities. Police Headquarters chief Paolo Sartori also issued an anti-mafia prevention measure, applying a public safety oral warning and scheduling the adoption of special surveillance.
