Two people have been imprisoned in Catanzaro on suspicion of setting fire to a lawyer's motorscooter and damaging the walls of his residence.

In the Calabrian capital, officers from the police headquarters have completed two precautionary detention orders in custody. The investigating judge at Catanzaro Court issued the orders at the request of the public prosecutor. The detained men are suspected of acting together to set fire to the moped of a local legal professional and to damage the façade of his home.
The incident occurred on 12 June 2026. The investigation, directed by the prosecutor's office and conducted by the mobile squad, was based on examination of images captured by surveillance cameras, which made it possible to reconstruct what happened.
This is an order issued during the preliminary investigation period; the two detained men must therefore be considered not guilty until any sentence becomes final.
