A raid by Ros carabinieri was carried out this morning at the home of a 65-year-old man living in Alessandria province. The man is among four suspects in the investigation into the so-called Sarajevo weekend snipers, during the 1990s period.

During the search, ordered by prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis and prosecutor Marcello Viola, a silencer was found. A photograph deemed relevant was also seized, showing the subject with technical equipment.

During a previous interrogation, the 65-year-old had decided not to provide answers. Today's searches stemmed from testimonies given by his ex-wife and ex-partner.

The investigation file examines crimes committed during weekends in the Bosnian capital, when shooters allegedly targeted the civilian population.
