Crema, 19-year-old killed by knife wounds in supermarket car park: three arrested
A 19-year-old boy of Egyptian origin was murdered in the afternoon of Wednesday 9 July in the car park of a large department store located in viale Repubblica in Crema, in the province of Cremona. Law enforcement have detained three people, all residing in the same area and aged between 23 and 25 years.
The incident occurred in the Porta Ombriano area. According to initial reconstructions, it appears that multiple people clashed for reasons still to be established. Among the hypotheses being examined by investigators is that of a clash between rival factions. During the brawl, the young man reportedly sustained a fatal blow from a bladed weapon.
After being wounded, the victim managed to take a few steps before collapsing to the ground. Emergency responders from 118, who arrived at the scene, transferred him urgently to Cremona's Maggiore hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The three suspects attempted to evade capture by moving across multiple provinces. Among them are two foreign nationals — one of Albanian nationality and the other of African origin — and an Italian. They were identified in the Cremona area and in the surrounding areas near Milan.
The investigation conducted by the carabinieri continues in order to clarify the circumstances and causes that triggered the lethal assault.
