ANSA Cronaca reports that a fan was admitted in critical condition with severe head trauma following clashes that erupted near Turin's stadium on the occasion of the derby. The man was first transported to Mauriziano Hospital and then to Le Molinette, where he underwent emergency surgery.
The exact causes of the head wound have not yet been determined: investigations are ongoing.
The match began over an hour late. Juventus ultras had called for the match not to be played; at kick-off they left the stadium. Four police officers were injured in the clashes.
