Police have arrested twelve people accused of a series of 63 thefts in luxury hotels in South Tyrol. During investigations, three kilograms of cocaine were also seized.

Twelve suspects have been arrested following a long series of thefts in hotels in South Tyrol. Law enforcement, in collaboration with the Bolzano prosecutor's office, has ended a wave of 63 robberies committed primarily in four and five-star facilities in the autonomous province.

The damage caused by the gangs amounts to approximately 300,000 euros. During the investigations, which began in August 2025, investigators also seized three kilograms of cocaine amongst members of the criminal group.

The arrested individuals are reportedly Albanian, around 30 years old. In addition to the twelve detained, another five people are under house arrest, whilst two are still being sought. According to local media reports, the suspects are believed to have operated in other Italian regions as well.
