The State Police carried out an operation yesterday aimed at preventing predatory crime in Forlì, which led to the seizure of drugs at a venue in the historic centre, as reported by questure.poliziadistato.it.
As part of the territory control measures, 12 patrols were deployed, including 4 units from the Crime Prevention Department of Bologna. The checks covered venues in the area, the railway station area and the historic centre.
During the checks, approximately 200 people — many of whom had previous convictions — and over 50 vehicles were identified. Two foreign nationals were reported for offences related to irregular immigration, found in the vicinity of the Foro Boario.
Investigators from the narcotics section of the Mobile Squad conducted a targeted operation to counter drug dealing among young people in the centre, following numerous reports from residents complaining of suspicious presences and continuous disturbances. Following extended investigations, officers identified a customer of the venue found in possession of cocaine. Further investigations into their case are ongoing.
The checks are part of a measure activated by the Police Headquarters to protect the character and habitability of central areas and areas most exposed to predatory crimes, also with a view to any further measures to protect public safety.
