A night-time operation by the Vicenza Finance Police on the Superstrada Pedemontana Veneta led to the seizure of 31 kg of hashish and the arrest of one man.

More than 31 kilogrammes of hashish, three improvised devices, a taser, one arrest and one report to prosecutors: this is the balance sheet of the operation conducted by the Finance Police of Vicenza against drug trafficking in the Upper Vicenza area, as reported by rainews.it.
During a night-time check along the Superstrada Pedemontana Veneta, officers from the Vicenza Group identified two cars travelling at high speed in close proximity. After the stop, in the boot of one of the vehicles — a large-engined saloon car, subsequently seized — 750 blocks of hashish were found. The driver was arrested in flagrante delicto and transferred to Vicenza prison.
Subsequent house searches involved two other people. An Albanian citizen was reported to prosecutors on a free basis for unlawful possession of weapons and explosive material: he had kept three firebombs and a taser in his home. A third person, found with a small amount of marijuana, was reported to the prefectural authorities.
