Stable but critical conditions for victims of the Modena crash
Four of the five injured persons still hospitalised following the hit-and-run that occurred on Saturday afternoon in the centre of Modena remain in reserved prognosis, according to a joint bulletin from the healthcare authorities released by ANSA Cronaca.
The two Italian spouses, aged 55, transferred to the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna, are both in intensive care in stable condition. The woman has sustained multiple injuries: her condition shows slight improvement but remains critical. Her husband, also with multiple injuries, is no longer in immediate danger of life, but prognosis remains reserved.
At the Civile Hospital in Baggiovara, in Modena, the 69-year-old German patient — hit last by the car driven by El Koudri and left without both legs in the impact — has shown signs of progressive improvement. She has been removed from ventilator support and now breathes independently, although her overall clinical condition remains serious.
The 53-year-old Polish woman, hospitalised at the same hospital, is in serious but stable condition. For both women, prognosis remains reserved.
The 59-year-old Italian patient, with facial trauma, presents a stable condition and good clinical status. The previously communicated prognosis of 30 days overall is confirmed.
