Italian police announced on Tuesday the seizure of a large batch of pure cocaine at Vado Ligure port, located in the north-west of the peninsula. The drug, concealed among dozens of pallets of bananas inside a refrigerated container from Ecuador, amounts to approximately 770 kilograms. The authorities estimate that the value of the batch on the illicit market exceeds 250 million euros.
