In the period between January 2025 and May 2026, the Financial Guard also identified cases of fraud linked to Italian and EU funds totalling more than 1.6 billion euros. Over the same time period, assets worth 4.7 billion euros were seized, believed to be the proceeds of tax evasion and tax concealment.
