Arrest of teacher accused of sexual abuse validated
A primary school teacher in the Milan area remains in custody on suspicion of sexual abuse of seven-year-old pupils. According to milanotoday.it, investigating judge Angelica Cardi has validated the arrest of the man, who was detained in flagrante delicto.
The charges of aggravated sexual assault are being pursued by prosecutor Rosaria Stagnaro and Letizia Mannella, head of the department for vulnerable persons. The investigation was launched less than a month ago, after several children had reported the teacher's behaviour to their parents.
Following the reports, parents filed a complaint with the carabinieri. Within a few days, the man was removed from the classroom — a third-year primary class — and transferred to custody.
