On Saturday 3 October, law enforcement conducted a coordinated raid in the main nightlife entertainment zones of Milan. According to milanotoday.it, the state police, carabinieri, financial guard and local police operated in a concentrated manner on Corso Como, Navigli, Porta Venezia and adjacent areas, under coordination of the prefecture.

The operation resulted in the identification of 295 people and the inspection of 28 vehicles. Sanctions were issued for Road Code violations and seven commercial establishments were checked, with some sanctioned for administrative irregularities.

Three people were investigated for possession and trafficking of narcotic substances. Five removal orders were issued during the checks; four people were prosecuted as free persons for brawling and vandalism.

The extraordinary checks are part of the prefectural strategy for prevention and security in nightlife areas during weekends, with the aim of guaranteeing peace and quiet for residents in the districts concerned.
