A minor boy has been detained on suspicion of attempted murder after striking a 60-year-old man with a baseball bat inside a condominium garage in Cesano Maderno, in the province of Monza. This is reported by tg24.sky.it.
The assault left the victim unconscious on the ground with head wounds. Emergency services transported him urgently to San Gerardo Hospital in Monza, where he remains in critical condition and in danger of his life.
The discovery was made by a neighbouring couple who returned by car to the condominium garage: they found the man unconscious next to his parking space. Their prompt intervention enabled rescue workers to provide initial care.
The detention was carried out by carabinieri from the Desio company and the Monza investigative unit, on the orders of the Milan juvenile prosecutor's office. Inside the young man's home, police officers found clothing stained with blood and several hand-rolled cigarettes containing marijuana.
The minor is currently held in a juvenile detention facility, awaiting the hearing to validate the detention. The motives for the act have not yet been clarified. The carabinieri investigation continues to reconstruct the circumstances of the assault.
