A 21-year-old young man with no criminal record was killed overnight in the Miano neighbourhood of Naples. Lorenzo Spasiano was returning home when an individual approached him and shot him in the chest at close range.
The murder took place on via Caprera, in the immediate vicinity of the victim's home. The boy was transported urgently to Cardarelli hospital, but his injuries proved fatal and doctors were unable to do anything but certify his death.
The killer managed to escape and has not yet been identified. Carabinieri from the Stella operational unit are investigating the case, seeking to reconstruct how the incident occurred and to identify the motive. It has not yet been established whether the crime has criminal origins or is linked to personal matters.
