Arrest for drugs trafficking in Naples: drugs and money seized

According to questure.poliziadistato.it, State Police arrested a 46-year-old in Naples yesterday evening for unlawful possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The operation is part of extraordinary services implemented by the Questura to combat drug trafficking.

State Police officers, during a territorial check on Via Vesuvio at the corner with Via Marino da Caramanico, stopped a car in which the man was travelling. During the search they found, under the driver's side seat, a packet of cocaine weighing approximately 1.2 kilograms.

After the vehicle check, police officers searched the arrestee's home. Inside they discovered a further three packets of cocaine with a total weight of 80 grammes, a packet of ketamine weighing approximately 250 grammes, two precision scales, a spoon with traces of controlled substance and €46,660 in banknotes of various denominations.

The arrestee, who has specific police records, was handed over to the operating officers for subsequent legal proceedings.
