Links between Calabrese criminal organisations and organised fan groups of Italian football are emerging from a recent court ruling. A justice collaborator has provided details on a drug distribution system that exploited contacts inside stadiums, particularly linked to the world of the Juventus ultras.
According to documentation from RaiNews, the informant's revelations appear in the grounds of the "Samba" trial, where nine people were convicted of illicit trafficking of substances. The man had described, approximately two years ago, a business operation that started from Spanish suppliers and arrived in the Piedmont capital. Here the goods were stored in an area called Pescarito, before being distributed in various directions: towards the South, towards Sicily, and towards the stadium ultras.
The privileged channel for passing drugs into sporting facilities was represented by a subject inserted within the supporter group called "Bravi Ragazzi", who could rely on a network of direct contacts in the ultras. This same group of supporters had already come under investigation scrutiny as part of the "Alto Piemonte" inquiry in 2017.
The collaborator in question is Vincenzo Pasquino, captured in 2021 in Brazilian territory after years on the run. Repatriated to Italy, he began cooperating with the authorities from March 2024 onwards. In his accounts, he indicated that he joined Calabrese organised crime in 2011, in a section active in the Turin area. He also reported having managed the links between the clans and the Primeiro Comando da Capital, the most powerful criminal faction in Brazil. During conversations on Sky-Ecc, a digital platform used to exchange messages, he was known as "Cristiano", in tribute to the Portuguese footballer and his football allegiance to the white-and-black team.
A similar testimony, given by another collaborator on 27 October 2025 in separate proceedings, traced the clans' interest in the illicit trading of ticket entry passes back to the 2011-2012 seasons. At that time, according to the account, tickets were given away free by members of the supporter group "Bravi Ragazzi" before being resold.
