During the investigation into the murder of a 19-year-old boy that occurred in Crema, carabinieri recovered a cutting weapon with its sheath from the River Adda. The recovery was carried out yesterday afternoon.
According to investigative reconstructions, the vehicle in which the three alleged perpetrators of the crime were travelling — already detained on suspicion of murder — had travelled along the road from Crema towards Milan, passing over the Paullese bridge which crosses the waterway.
This circumstance led investigators to hypothesise that those detained might have disposed of the weapon by throwing it into the river or into a waste container along the road. For this reason, a team from the Radiomobile Unit was sent to search the area. The military personnel, looking from the bridge, spotted an object submerged in the water that had characteristics similar to those of a knife.
Subsequently, firefighters from Crema and Lodi, assisted by divers from the Milan corps, intervened to extract the object. It proved to be a knife equipped with its sheath, which was immediately seized. The blade will now be analysed to verify whether it matches the weapon used in the lethal assault.
Three young people, aged between 23 and 25, have been detained in connection with the murder.
