Conviction for the murder outside the Fontanafredda bar

Fourteen years imprisonment for Rogert Shota and nine for his father Pren: these are the sentences imposed by the judge at the Pordenone Court for the murder of Vladimir Topjana, the 43-year-old man of Albanian origin shot dead on 6 April 2025 in front of a bar in Fontanafredda. This is reported by rainews.it, citing the Ansa agency.

The two defendants, accused of acting in concert in the murder, opted for the abbreviated procedure. The Public Prosecutor had requested 16 years for Rogert Shota, 35 years old, and 10 for Pren Shota, 67 years old. The four family members of the victim were awarded compensation of €200,000 each.

According to the prosecution's reconstruction, the incident began with an argument in Sacile. The parties then met in front of the bar in Fontanafredda, where the discussion escalated into a scuffle: during the clash, Topjana tore off Pren Shota's earlobe.

At that point, according to the prosecution, Rogert Shota drew a pistol and fired two shots — one to the abdomen and one to the head. The latter proved fatal.
