Among the people arrested by Latina police for the murder of Ibrahim Dibba was reportedly a minor, according to rainews.it. The 27-year-old of Gambian origin was struck by multiple bullets fired from a moving car in the night of 16 September last, in viale XXIV Maggio. The prosecutor's office in the Pontine capital is investigating for aggravated voluntary homicide.
Surveillance camera images from the area are reported to have directed the mobile squad towards those responsible, allowing them to identify the vehicle, which was subsequently found in the Campo Boario neighbourhood. Police conducted several raids in that area and in other parts of the city considered at-risk. The suspects are believed to be connected to a known crime family in Latina.
Testimony from Dibba's partner was also decisive: the woman stated that the young man claimed to be owed money that he had not yet managed to collect. He thus fell into an ambush in the Trieste neighbourhood, with no possibility of escape. Dibba worked as a farm labourer, was the recipient of an expulsion decree and was about to become a father.
