The 26-year-old accused of killing and dismembering a 39-year-old in Turin has confirmed his account to the judge. A teacher and a Filipino national have also been detained for aiding and abetting.

According to adnkronos.com, during the hearing to validate the detention order, the 26-year-old accused of killing and dismembering Colapietro — the 39-year-old found in pieces in black bags in an apartment in the northern suburbs of Turin — confirmed his account before the investigating judge, the same version he had already provided to investigators.
Assisted by lawyer Wilmer Perga, the young man reconstructed the hours before the killing and the subsequent attempt to dispose of the body. "We were under the influence of drugs, we wanted to throw him in the river," is one passage from his account.
The night before the killing
The interrogation revealed that the 26-year-old had spent the night consuming alcohol and drugs together with the apartment owner, a teacher, and a man of Filipino origin. Both have been detained on charges of aiding and abetting and concealment of a corpse. The victim, described as a drug dealer, arrived later.
Upon waking up, someone allegedly told the 26-year-old that the 39-year-old had stolen money from him. This allegedly sparked a violent argument that escalated into a fight. When the judge asked whether he was the one who had suffocated the victim, the young man claimed he could not remember what had happened in those moments.
The attempt to dispose of the body
The 26-year-old then reported that he had attempted to resuscitate the 39-year-old for approximately two hours. Once it was established that every attempt was futile, he and the others present allegedly decided to get rid of the corpse. According to his account, the intention was to throw the dismembered body into a lake or river to make it disappear. Black bags, bleach and a tarpaulin were allegedly purchased for this purpose.
"I couldn't do it anymore," the young man allegedly said, explaining that he had called his mother and told her what had happened, asking her to call the police.
The positions of the other detainees
At the end of the hearing the judge reserved judgment. The other two detainees were also heard: the teacher exercised her right to remain silent, whilst the Filipino man denied any involvement in the murder — a claim that was allegedly confirmed by the 26-year-old before the judge.
The young Filipino national, detained by the prosecutor's office for aiding and abetting and assisting in the concealment of the body, assisted by lawyer Francesco Rotella, admitted to having participated in the gathering in the apartment where the victim was found. However, he denied taking part in the dismemberment of the body, claiming he had only purchased the plastic bags in which the corpse was found. The teacher, the owner of the apartment, had been detained late in the evening of the previous day on the same charges.
