Members of the carabinieri's special counter-terrorism unit have arrested a 30-year-old man of Palestinian origin in Latiano, in the province of Brindisi. The measure was coordinated by the Lecce DDA.
The 30-year-old faces charges of having incited others to commit crimes with terrorist purposes linked to jihadism, using electronic devices and online channels to do so. A compatriot aged 25 is under investigation in the same inquiry, but has not been remanded in custody.
