Operation by Persiceto Police Station: four arrests and drugs seized
During a crime-prevention operation conducted between June and the first days of July, officers from the San Giovanni in Persiceto police station carried out several interventions in the Bologna area.
The police officers served four enforcement measures issued by the magistracy. A 53-year-old man was served with a house arrest order issued by the judge for preliminary investigations in Bologna. Following notification, he was transferred to a detention facility by personnel from the questura. In the same timeframe, a 60-year-old and a 40-year-old were remanded in custody by order of the Bologna supervisory office. Another man, aged 42, was taken to prison to serve a sentence.
During a routine check, a patrol stopped a 53-year-old with no criminal record. Officers found over 3 grammes of cocaine and €4,250 in cash in the man's possession, a sum considered to be proceeds from illegal trafficking. The individual was referred to the magistracy while at liberty.
The anti-crime unit at the police station also handled several reports of domestic abuse and stalking, initiating proceedings to protect victims. Measures were also adopted including removal from urban areas, cautions and warnings issued by the police chief.
