A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Padua for abusing a 13-year-old boy in a bar toilet. A customer's intervention interrupted the abuse.

The Padua Police arrested a 40-year-old man on charges of aggravated sexual violence against a 13-year-old minor, according to rainews.it. The incident occurred in the toilet of a bar run by the victim's parents.
A customer of the establishment noticed the boy in the company of an adult, and upon realising his absence from the bar area, alerted the parents. They forced open the toilet door, which was locked from the inside, interrupting what was taking place. Police units from the Questura intervened at the scene; the emergency services treated the minor who was in a state of shock.
The man allegedly locked the boy in the toilet and compelled him to perform sexual acts. Witness testimony and CCTV footage provided evidence for reconstructing the facts. The 40-year-old, of Pakistani origin and resident in Emilia-Romagna, was arrested and taken to prison pending the judicial authority's disposition.
