In the Emilia Romagna city, a teacher of approximately 70 years of age has been arrested on suspicion of forcing a young pupil to engage in and to endure sexual acts. The restrictive measure was carried out by officers from the Mobile Squad on the orders of the local prosecutor's office.
The suspect worked as an instructor at a riding school in the provincial capital, which investigators clarify bears no responsibility in the disputed facts. He allegedly exploited his role as a teacher to commit the crimes.
According to a statement released by the judicial authority, before his detention "serious indicators of culpability" had been gathered against the suspect. The facts that are the subject of the investigation date back to several days before the intervention of the officers.
During the operations, various electronic devices belonging to the seventy-year-old were seized, including mobile phones and computers. The investigation continues in order to establish whether there are any further episodes or other possible victims.
