Officers from the Mobile Squads have arrested a 62-year-old man in the capital. The order was issued by the Rieti Court, which ordered the application of concurrent sentences totalling five years' imprisonment and a fine of €1,100.
The man, born in Sicily but active in Rome's criminal circles, has an extensive criminal record. His specialisation concerns crimes against property, with particular focus on theft and handling of two-wheeled vehicles.
The sentence stems from a theft committed approximately five years ago in the chief town of the Sabine region, where the man was responsible for aggravated theft.
The suspect was located thanks to collaboration between investigators from the Police Headquarters of Rome and Rieti. The sixty-two-year-old was admitted to the "Nuovo Complesso" prison in Rieti.
