Arrest in Savona province: 15-year-old in custody for two stabbings
A fifteen-year-old has been arrested and transferred to the juvenile detention centre in Turin following two serious incidents of violence committed on 27 April in Borghetto Santo Spirito, in Savona province. According to ANSA Cronaca.
Carabinieri from Borghetto Santo Spirito and Alessandria Cristo executed a custody order issued by the Court for Minors in Genoa. The boy was located at dawn at his parents' home, in Alessandria province, where he had taken refuge immediately after the incidents.
According to investigators' findings, in the afternoon of 27 April the fifteen-year-old attacked a peer in the street, striking him with a knife to the chest. The suspected motive: the victim had begun a relationship with the attacker's ex-girlfriend.
Before that attack, the same boy had attempted to rob a newspaper stand in the same municipality, striking the owner with a knife and wounding him to the head, shoulder and stomach. The custody order was issued following an investigation described by carabinieri as complex and carried out in a rapid timeframe.
