Armed robbery at Frosinone supermarket: man from Naples arrested on motorway
A man of Campanian origin threatened a supermarket cashier with a gun in viale Volsci in Frosinone, making off with approximately 720 euros. He was stopped shortly afterwards on the A1 motorway heading towards Naples, in the territory of Pastorano (CE), by the Motorway Police and the Mobile Squad.

The State Police have arrested a man from the Naples area for an armed robbery committed on the morning of Monday 13 July at a food retail outlet in Frosinone. The robbery took place shortly after opening, in viale Volsci, in the Lazio regional capital.
According to the investigators' reconstruction, the individual burst into the shop and, wielding a firearm, ordered a till operator to hand over the money in the till. The cashier, under threat, handed over the day's takings, amounting to approximately 720 euros. The robber then quickly fled the scene in a vehicle.
The report reached the Operations Centre promptly, which dispatched a patrol from the Flying Squad to the location. At the same time, the Mobile Squad began working to reconstruct the dynamics of the crime and trace the perpetrator. Thanks to information gathered in quick time, officers managed to identify the vehicle and intercept it as it travelled on the A1 motorway heading towards Naples, in the stretch falling within the municipality of Pastorano, in Caserta province.
It was the Motorway Police who stopped the car, with the assistance of Mobile Squad officers who arrived at the location. The man was immediately arrested and taken to the prison in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, where he was remanded in custody.
