One hundred kilograms of cocaine, marijuana and hashish destined for nightclubs, pubs, beach establishments and hospitality facilities in Bibione, Jesolo and Caorle — as well as Lignano, Grado and Sistiana in Friuli Venezia Giulia. An Italian-Albanian criminal organisation managed the trafficking, dismantled in an operation coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Milan and conducted by the Financial Police of Trieste, with the support of the Central Organised Crime Investigation Service of the Financial Police.

The investigation tally includes 35 persons under investigation, 16 arrests and the seizure of assets and financial resources worth 1.1 million euros.

According to investigators, during the winter months the gang supplied narcotics to Lombardy, Liguria and Tuscany, before shifting trafficking towards the main tourist destinations of the north-east with the arrival of summer season.
