Stolen car recycling in Viterbo: two Campania residents reported by Traffic Police
Two citizens from Campania have been reported for recycling of stolen cars in the Viterbo area. The vehicles were re-registered using scrapped-vehicle documents.

The Viterbo Traffic Police have reported two Italian citizens from Campania for recycling of motor vehicles of stolen origin, as reported by Google News IT — Crime (it). The investigation, launched in the early months of 2025, began with a series of checks on severely damaged vehicles present at auto-wrecking facilities in the province.
The two subjects purchased vehicles reduced to scrap and used their documents to give a new identity to stolen vehicles, whilst simultaneously making alterations to certain mechanical components to change their identifying data. The vehicles were then placed on the market appearing completely legal, deceiving unwitting purchasers.
The investigation was directed by deputy public prosecutor Michele Adragna of the Viterbo Public Prosecutor's Office. The seizures ordered during the operation involved, in addition to Lazio, the regions of Piedmont and Campania. All recovered vehicles were returned to their legitimate owners.
