Google News IT — Crime (it) reports that yesterday the city of Sora was the scene of a major extraordinary territorial control operation conducted by the State Police, aimed at countering illegal activities.
For the occasion, a massive deployment of resources was arranged: in addition to officers from the Questura and the Commissariats of Cassino and Sora, the operation involved teams from the Crime Prevention Division Lazio, the Mobile Unit from Naples, drug and explosives detection units, and a helicopter from the Flight Unit of Pratica di Mare.
The law enforcement authorities concentrated their efforts on areas characterised by higher crime incidence, conducting personal, vehicle and residential searches where situations warranting them were identified.
In particular, police focused on a family unit of Sinti ethnicity already involved in operations conducted by the Frosinone Questura called "Requiem" — which concluded last Monday with 12 arrests — and "Ultima corsa".
During the operation, a man was charged with receiving stolen goods: he was in possession of a scooter that proved to be the proceeds of a theft committed in Frosinone in 2024. The moped was found inside a shed in the full possession of the suspect, adjacent to an area used as stables of approximately 160 square metres in masonry, considered likely to be unauthorised. Local Police were requested to intervene for the necessary checks on this structure.
Assistance from the veterinary section of the ASL also proved necessary, as there were horses in the stables, for which investigations are ongoing.
The Questura announced that further operations will be scheduled in the coming days in other municipalities in the province.
The State Police clarify that the suspect is, at present, only suspected of a crime. His position will be definitively assessed in the judicial proceedings and only following a final judgment can he be definitively found guilty of the offence charged, in accordance with the constitutional principle of the presumption of innocence.
