According to reports from Google News IT — Crime (it), on the evening of yesterday the State Police of Caserta arrested two Italian citizens suspected of trafficking in controlled substances in the municipality of Marcianise.

Officers from the Marcianise Police Station began their investigation following several reports received by police offices, concentrating their information-gathering and investigative activity in a public housing district of the town.

Stakeout and surveillance operations made it possible to identify a flat used, according to what emerged from the investigation, as a base for drug dealing activity. During the search, police officers found and seized hundreds of doses of controlled substances and a sum of cash believed to be proceeds from the illegal activity.

Checks then continued at the home of one of the two detained individuals, in the province of Benevento. On the scene, officers found a relative of his, already subject to house arrest and, according to the investigative reconstruction, himself involved in the drug dealing.

Searches were also conducted at that residence: additional controlled substances were seized along with material for weighing and packaging the doses.

At the conclusion of all investigations, the two men were arrested and taken to police offices for standard procedures.
