The State Police have arrested a 28-year-old with a criminal record who was caught dealing drugs in via Federico Fellini, in the Scampia neighbourhood of Naples.

According to a report from questure.poliziadistato.it, the State Police have arrested a 28-year-old with previous convictions for possession with intent to supply in the Scampia neighbourhood of Naples.

Yesterday afternoon, officers from the General Prevention and Public Assistance Office and the Scampia Police Station, engaged in extraordinary territorial control operations ordered by the Naples Questura, noticed the man in via Federico Fellini. The 28-year-old retrieved something from a sock placed on the road surface and handed it to another individual in exchange for money; the latter then quickly left the scene.

Police officers intervened and stopped the suspect. A modest sum of money was found on the man, whilst hidden inside the sock were 5 cylinders of heroin with a total weight of approximately 7 grammes, 2 packets of crack and one of cocaine.

The arrested man was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The operation is part of the extraordinary operations ordered by the Naples Questura to combat the possession and trafficking of narcotic substances in the area.
