Cocaine trafficking in San Martino Valle Caudina: 37-year-old arrested with drugs and cash
A 37-year-old man with no prior convictions has been arrested by Cervinara police with 23 grammes of cocaine and €6,870 in cash. The judge for preliminary investigations ordered house arrest.

According to questure.poliziadistato.it, officers from the Public Security Police Station in Cervinara (AV) arrested a 37-year-old resident of San Martino Valle Caudina with no prior criminal record as part of an anti-drug operation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Avellino.
The man was found in possession of 23 grammes of cocaine, two precision scales and cellophane material for packaging doses. He also had €6,870 in cash on him, in banknotes of various denominations, the origin of which he could not account for. All the material was seized.
At the end of the validation hearing, the judge for preliminary investigations at the Avellino Court validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of house arrest at the defendant's residence.
The charges are currently provisional: the guilt of the person under investigation will be established only at the conclusion of the final judgement.
