The Caserta State Police have arrested a young man from Caserta who was concealing cocaine doses in the grass of a public park. Twenty-four doses were found, totalling more than 6 grammes and 150 euros in cash.

The Caserta State Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Caserta yesterday evening on suspicion of possession and drug trafficking, according to questure.poliziadistato.it.
Investigators from the Mobile Squad and the Public Safety Commissioner's office in Santa Maria Capua Vetere were carrying out a territorial control operation aimed at combating drug dealing when they identified the suspect. Officers observed him removing what appeared to be drug doses from a black pouch and then concealing them again in the grass of a public park.
During the evening, the young man reportedly returned to the same spot several times, repeating the same conduct and driving away each time, presumably to make deliveries to customers.
Officers then reconstructed the sequence of events and intervened to stop the man. A subsequent search made it possible to recover 24 cocaine doses, totalling more than 6 grammes in weight, and 150 euros in cash divided into banknotes of different denominations.
The 25-year-old was arrested and, at the direction of the duty Public Prosecutor, was transferred to the prison in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
