Insults, threats and defamation: mother and daughter to face trial for harassment in Sora
Google News IT — Crime (it) reports that the State Police have reported a mother and her daughter for acts of persecution against a married couple residing in Sora, in the province of Frosinone.
According to the reconstruction carried out by police officers at Sora State Police Station, the incident appears to have originated from a dispute related to the management of two adjoining plots of land, belonging respectively to the two families.
The two women are said to have adopted conduct such as to generate strong fears for their own safety in the victims, forcing them to radically modify their daily habits. Each time the couple was spotted on their own land, situated at the boundary with that of the suspects, there were insults, shouting, verbal aggression and death threats.
The two women are also said to have engaged in defamatory behaviour towards the couple, spreading insinuations amongst neighbours about the use of harmful substances on the produce from their vegetable garden, with the intention of publicly discrediting them.
The suspects are at present to be considered solely suspected of the crime. Their position will be evaluated in judicial proceedings and only following a final court decision can any potential criminal responsibility be established, in accordance with the constitutional principle of presumption of innocence.
