Taranto: young drug dealer arrested with 40 doses of cocaine, another man reported for hashish
A nineteen-year-old has been remanded in custody in Taranto after police from the Mobile Squad caught him selling cocaine doses through the window of an SUV. In a separate operation, a thirty-six-year-old man was reported for drugs found in his home.

In the Apulian capital, the Mobile Squad carried out two distinct anti-drug operations. In the first case, a boy of just 19 years old was arrested; in the second, a man of 36 was reported without detention.
The Falcons had placed via Calamandrei and nearby streets under surveillance after noticing a dark SUV moving in an unusual manner. The driver, an adolescent, never left the vehicle but continuously received approaches from young people with evident signs of addiction problems. The exchanges lasted only a few moments, after which the vehicle would often drive away at high speed, causing disturbance in the area.
Determined to intervene, the officers stopped the vehicle. Inside they found two mobile phones and a quantity of over forty doses of cocaine already prepared for sale. Additionally, 125 euros in banknotes of various denominations were seized, considered to be the proceeds of the criminal activity.
When searching the minor's residence — who already had a record for similar offences — police recovered a further 1,400 euros in cash and a notebook with notes that would support his involvement in the drug dealing ring.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the 19-year-old was arrested and placed in the local prison.
In parallel, another squad was checking a building on via Leonida, an area that had been repeatedly reported for trafficking in substances. Upon reaching the second floor, officers detected an intense smell typical of cannabis. They knocked on the apartment and, in the presence of the owner, carried out a search that led to the discovery of two blocks of hashish and a bag of marijuana.
The 36-year-old was reported to the Public Prosecutor for unlawful possession.
