Attempted burglary in Ragusa, forty-year-old arrested with crowbars

Arrest for aggravated attempted burglary in residence
According to questure.poliziadistato.it, the State Police of Vittoria arrested a forty-year-old man held responsible for aggravated attempted burglary in residence. The man was acting in concert with an accomplice still not identified.
The operation took place following a report to the emergency number 112, which reported two people attempting to break into a private residence. Officers from the Police Station arrived promptly and cordoned off the area. One of the two fugitives managed to evade the controls; the other was stopped inside a nearby warehouse.
During the search, two crowbars, a kitchen knife and an electronic identity card lacking the validation microchip were found. The man was also reported for possession of the false document. The arrested man was taken to Ragusa Remand Prison on the order of the Judicial Authority, together with carabinieri from the Carabinieri Corps who collaborated in the operation.
