29-year-old charged with attempted murder in Perugia: woman saved by neighbours
According to questure.poliziadistato.it, officers from the Volanti (rapid response) units of the State Police in Perugia intervened in the afternoon yesterday at a residence in the provincial capital, following a report of a quarrel received by the Emergency Services number.
At the scene, the police officers collected a statement from the victim, who reported a violent argument with a man, born in 1997, with a police record, with whom she shared the residence — owned by a third party — for cohabitation reasons. The man had threatened her with death.
The situation then escalated when the woman attempted to contact 112: the 29-year-old, realising her attempt, allegedly grabbed her by the arm and tried to push her out of the open window, located on the second floor of the building.
The woman managed to break free and ask for help from a neighbour, who alerted the emergency services.
The man was taken to the Questore's office and, after completion of the necessary procedures, was referred to the Judicial Authority for attempted murder. The Questore of the province of Perugia also issued an order against him for removal from the municipality of Perugia, with a ban on return for four years.
