Turin, San Donato neighbourhood: two Albanians arrested with 530 grams of heroin and 8,000 euros
The State Police arrested two Albanian citizens aged 60 and 30 in the San Donato neighbourhood of Turin for drug dealing and possession of narcotics. Over half a kilogramme of heroin, cocaine and approximately 8,000 euros in cash were seized.

According to information reported by questure.poliziadistato.it, the State Police arrested two Albanian citizens aged 60 and 30 in the San Donato neighbourhood of Turin, deemed responsible for drug dealing and possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing. In total, over half a kilogramme of heroin, cocaine and approximately 8,000 euros in cash were seized.
The operation was conducted by investigators from the 4th Section "Combating Widespread Crime" of the Mobile Squad at Turin Police Headquarters. The officers had initiated specific information-investigative activities targeting the sixty-year-old Albanian, noting in the preceding days his frequent movements by car to various points across the city.
During the surveillance operation, the police intercepted the man as, after parking his vehicle, he was proceeding on foot in the direction of via Giovanni Servais. Shortly afterwards, he withdrew from a shoulder bag a brown-coloured package, which he handed over to a thirty-year-old Albanian who had arrived at the spot by bicycle.
Suspicious of the exchange, the officers stopped the thirty-year-old. The man attempted to move away rapidly on the bicycle, but was blocked after a brief chase. The search allowed approximately 530 grammes of heroin and over 1,700 euros in cash to be found.
Meanwhile, other officers followed the sixty-year-old, who had moved away in his own car. The check and subsequent search of the vehicle revealed additional cash money.
Home searches carried out at the residences of both men led to the discovery of additional quantities of cocaine, over 5,400 euros in cash and material for packaging narcotics. The car used by one of the two arrested men was also seized.
The two were taken, on the order of the Judicial Authority, to "Lorusso and Cutugno" Prison in Turin.
The proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase; the presumption of innocence applies to those under investigation until final conviction.
