Serial robber in prison after six robberies in Turin

According to questure.poliziadistato.it, the State Police have executed a custodial remand order issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Turin Court. The order concerns a subject believed responsible for a series of robberies and attempted robberies committed between 28 March and 19 May 2026 in the Borgo Vittoria district and in various municipalities in the province.

The suspect is gravely suspected of having committed six criminal acts against commercial premises, pharmacies, ice-cream parlours, betting shops and a post office. The investigation was launched following a robbery at a pharmacy in Borgo Vittoria and made it possible to reconstruct with precision the dynamics of the facts and the recurring modus operandi.

Video surveillance documented a subject acting with his face partially disguised, armed with kitchen knives or a revolver. Significant identifying features include a stocky build, sportswear clothing and a peculiar posture of the right foot, constantly turned outward. On several occasions the robber was filmed leaving in a blue Fiat Tipo, sometimes with stolen number plates.

Images obtained during the robbery at the ice-cream parlour showed the subject with his face uncovered in the immediate vicinity of the premises, providing the decisive confirmation for identification. A related incident documented on 8 April at a supermarket made it possible to view the presence of the suspect together with people close to him, further consolidating the investigative picture.

Mobile Squad investigators connected all the committed robberies and attempted robberies, highlighting the recurrence of the same physical and behavioural elements. The Public Prosecutor's Office evaluated the evidence gathered and requested the application of the custodial measure, considering that there existed serious grounds for suspicion of guilt and concrete danger of reoffending.

The man is currently detained at the local prison following an arrest in flagrante delicto for a robbery against a post office in the province, carried out in the preceding days by the same investigators. The operation made it possible to interrupt a sequence of particularly serious incidents, restoring security to shopkeepers and citizens in the area.

The person subject to a custodial measure is to be considered not guilty until final sentence.
