Trapper Tony Boy placed under house arrest in Padua: judge denies custody over firearm charge
The judge in Milan has ordered house arrest for trapper Tony Boy, accused of possessing a pistol with a filed-off serial number. The drug trafficking charge has been dropped.

Judge Chiara Valori of the Milan Court has ordered house arrest for trapper Tony Boy, charged with possession of a pistol with a filed-off serial number. This is reported by ANSA Cronaca, citing the judge's order.
The measure has been applied at the singer's parents' home in the province of Padua, described by the judge as "a more protected and controlled environment". Electronic monitoring is not foreseen. Public prosecutor Sara Ombra had requested pre-trial custody in prison.
In the order, Valori emphasises that Tony Boy, although he has no previous convictions, "is clearly in contact with serious criminal circles" in which "it is possible to purchase an illegal weapon". House arrest is nevertheless considered sufficient to contain the risk of reoffending, including the commission of "serious crimes involving the use of weapons".
Regarding concerts already scheduled in the coming weeks, the judge clarifies that work commitments "do not appear to constitute circumstances capable of preventing the application of the measure". Any authorisations for performances may be assessed on a case-by-case basis, upon request from the defence.
The charge of drug trafficking did not find acceptance. The judge noted that the quantities seized — approximately 4 grammes of cocaine, 8 grammes of hashish and approximately one gramme of marijuana — are compatible with personal use, as argued by defence counsel Niccolò Vecchioni, who also referred to a drug dependency and treatment with psychotropic medication.
