In the Tor Bella Monaca neighbourhood, in the eastern part of the capital, an operation by the State Police resulted in the arrest of three individuals accused of possession with intent to supply. The raid was conducted by the VI Casilino District with the assistance of officers from the Mobile Squad section.
Investigators identified an area on via dell'Archeologia where narcotics were being sold. The three suspects used a surveillance method with lookouts and had created hiding places among garden flowerpots and stone blocks, where they stored doses before handing them to customers.
At the time of the raid, the arrested individuals attempted to flee but were stopped. During the search, more than one hundred packets containing crack, cocaine, hashish and heroin were discovered. A sum of money worth approximately 500 euros was also seized, considered to be proceeds from drug dealing.
At the same time, law enforcement inspected four commercial activities in the neighbourhood. Two of them received eleven administrative penalties totalling more than 10,000 euros, relating to hygiene and sanitary problems, unauthorised expansion of the refreshment area and failure to provide information on possible allergens.
The court upheld the arrests.
