Three fleeing robbers ram scooter: 24-year-old seriously injured at Tor Vergata
In Zagarolo, near Rome, a car with three fugitives struck a scooter with two people on board. The three Cuban nationals were arrested by carabinieri.

A 40-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were struck by a car carrying three fleeing robbers in Zagarolo, a municipality in the Rome metropolitan area, according to ANSA Cronaca. The 24-year-old was transported by helicopter to the Tor Vergata polyclinic, where she is hospitalised with prognosis reserved for head trauma and has been sedated. The man underwent surgery on his tibia with a prognosis of 40 days.
Everything originated in the car park of a local supermarket, where a woman was robbed of her bag by someone from the car. Her cries for help put the robber to flight, who got into a car with accomplices. During the escape the vehicle rammed the scooter with the two on board, after which the three continued on foot.
One of the fugitives was stopped immediately by some passers-by, who handed him over to the carabinieri. The other two were tracked down by the military in a rural area nearby.
The three detained are Cuban nationals aged 36, 43 and 44, with criminal records. They were arrested on charges of robbery, road injuries in concert, flight and failure to render assistance.
