Anti-drugs operation in Milan

According to milanotoday.it, state police arrested two Italian citizens in the early morning of Saturday, 3 October in an apartment on Via Gaudenzio Ferrari, in the Navigli/Ticinese area. The operation was launched following a call to 112 reporting a man with a knife in his hand, in a confused state, on a first-floor balcony.

Officers calmed the man down and sent him to hospital. During the operation they detected a strong smell of drugs and launched a search of the other two rooms in the apartment. The first room contained 24 grammes of cocaine and 20 grammes of hashish, divided into approximately 20 bags, together with 930 euros in cash. In the second room, approximately 30 credit cards were found.

The two men arrested, aged 24 and 52 respectively, were charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing and unauthorised use of credit cards. Police also seized approximately 30 scratch-off lottery tickets that had been cancelled by the monopoly authority because they were stolen.
