According to reports from Libertatea, the man had managed to leave the locality in Italy where he was obliged to reside. During the railway journey through Swiss territory, a particular detail attracted the attention of law enforcement, who proceeded to identify the passenger.

Once his legal status had been established and the violation of the obligations imposed by the house arrest measure had been confirmed, the man was taken into custody. Competent authorities were informed for extradition procedures and for the return of the Romanian citizen to Italian territory, where he must answer for the violation of the prescriptions imposed by the judicial authority.
