The Mobile Squad of Verona has executed ten precautionary measures against a criminal group active in the trafficking of cocaine and hashish, also involved in a robbery.

In the chief city of the Scaligeri region and in neighbouring municipalities, investigators from the Police Headquarters have executed a restrictive measure ordered by the judge against ten individuals. They are under investigation for having possessed and distributed large quantities of drugs, as well as for an assault with intent to rob.
The measures consist of five detention orders, three house confinements, one prohibition on leaving the municipality of residence, and one obligation to appear before investigators. One of the five recipients of the most serious measure is still being sought.
The investigative work combined field surveillance with technical tools such as telephone tapping and audio-video environmental recording. Through these means the profile of an organisation dedicated to the sale of cocaine and hashish in the Verona area was reconstructed.
The standard of living of those arrested revealed habits indicative of organised crime: ostentation, arrogance and a predisposition to serious crimes in order to acquire large quantities of drugs, including the idea of kidnapping people.
For their movements they used high-value vehicles, acquired through shell companies, and to communicate they resorted to encrypted chat platforms, so as to organise exchanges and evade surveillance.
The most striking fact in the investigation dates back to February 2025. Some of those arrested had organised a theft against competitors in trafficking. By simulating a purchase of one kilogram of cocaine, they had asked to verify its purity in an accommodation. There they assaulted the suppliers, taking by force the entire consignment, then fled in escort vehicles to divide the haul.
A further element that emerged is the exploitation of adolescents. Minors were used to deliver goods to clients and to watch over them, exploiting basements and storage units of their homes as hiding places.
