A tragic meeting took place on Sunday evening in the car park of Zibido San Giacomo, a locality south of Milan. A 31-year-old lost his life after being struck by a car driven by a 41-year-old, now in custody on suspicion of voluntary homicide.
The two had met to settle a romantic dispute involving a woman. The discussion escalated in a fatal manner. According to the reconstruction by law enforcement, the deceased person had drawn a pistol and fired two blank shots. This action allegedly triggered the reaction of the other man, who ran over his rival with his own vehicle.
The investigation is being conducted by the Milan carabinieri under the coordination of the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office. The suspect has been taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the judicial authority. It should be noted that the accused must be considered innocent until the sentence becomes final.
