Educational institutions across the country began receiving threatening electronic emails on Monday morning. In a matter of hours, law enforcement registered more than 200 such reports, with the flow continuing to increase.
According to police data, no suspicious items or signs of genuine danger have been detected in any schools so far. Nevertheless, officers are urging school administrations to remain vigilant and inspect their premises. If anything suspicious is found, the emergency number 112 should be called immediately.
Law enforcement recommends that schools not give in to panic and continue the educational process. The main examination session for the secondary school finals is currently underway, during which students are taking examination components.
The National Education Agency also confirmed it had received threatening emails. Agency representatives thanked the police for their prompt response and noted that they are prepared for various scenarios to ensure the session runs smoothly and the safety of participants.
