Former Klaipėda police officer charged with possession of large drug supplies
The case of a thirty-year-old former Klaipėda police officer has reached court – the man is accused of unlawful possession and transportation of controlled psychoactive substances in a motor vehicle.

The Klaipėda Regional Court will hear a criminal case against a 30-year-old man who previously worked as a police officer at the Klaipėda District Main Police Commissariat. He has been charged with the unlawful accumulation and transportation of prohibited substances – drugs and psychotropic preparations – on a particularly large scale.
The investigation was conducted by the Immunity Bureau under the Police Department, and the proceedings are being led by a specialist from the Klaipėda Regional Prosecutor's Office from the Organised Crime and Corruption Investigation Division.
According to the evidence gathered, on 9 May of last year in the Klaipėda district, officers discovered and seized a substantial quantity of various prohibited substances in the suspect's vehicle. Among them were synthetic drugs 3-chlormethcathinone (3-CMC), MDMA, 4-bromomethcathinone (4-BMC), as well as cannabis. All of this cargo was found during a vehicle inspection.
On the same day, but in Kretinga, in another motor vehicle, the man allegedly concealed a powder containing 3-chlormethcathinone, according to pre-trial investigation data. This supply was found and seized by police the next day, on 10 May, following an additional search.
The case has already been transferred to the Klaipėda Regional Court.
